If you haven't heard of this island, you have now! I didn't know about it but I am sure glad I found it. What a cute village. And it is definitely an island. I drove down the Outerbanks peninsula to the tip and caught the ferry to the island. Sam and I got a great campsite not far from the village. At the time, I did not have my bike on board so I rented a bike and biked to see the wild ponies. Boy was it HOT.

Sam saving his energy for the trip to the island. We relaxed in our bed as we rode the ferry.

on the ferry! Love it

Pony pasture

Great coffee place.

Old lighthouse (not opened to the public but still super cool)

Fun doors at the cool coffee place.

Yum...nothing like raw oysters and....

a Margarita. Life is good.
